Most of my writing has been autobiographical, humor or faith based. In the last few years I've been enjoying writing fiction. My favorite fun reads have always been cozy mysteries and I decided that I'd try my hand at writing what I love to read. I've started a cozy mystery series called "Meowntain Mysteries" (book one is done and I'm working on finishing book two so I can release them at the same time.
I am also writing a fictionalized version of the story of Orpah from the Bible and why she returned to Moab. My story goes against the general consensus that she returned to her pagan gods. Where Scripture is clearly stated I don't veer from that truth but where Scripture is silent, I pose the question "what if?" and I tell the fictionalized story of what Orpah's return to Moab might have looked like if she left Ruth and Naomi on that road to Bethlehem because she was compelled to return home and tell her family and friends about Yaweh, the God her mother-in-law Naomi taught her about?. This work has been years in the making with deep research into Biblical accounts, history, Jewish traditions and other historical sources. I hope to have this work completed by the end of 2025.
